LSU has a QB controversy on its hands that needs to be sorted out soon

Ed Orgeron is in a pickle. Never mind the 30-point blowout loss at Mississippi State or having to hang on against a three-touchdown underdog at home Saturday. After pulling senior quarterback Danny Etling in favor of freshman Myles Brennan only to reverse the decision again in the fourth quarter, Orgeron officially has a quarterback controversy on his hands.

He may not see it as a controversy, but considering how the two rotated Saturday against Syracuse, neither should feel particularly comfortable in their status.

Etling, who was just 13 of 29 for 137 yards and led the offense to a mere seven points – the eight-play touchdown drive consisted of all running plays – against Mississippi State, struggled amid pressure from the Orange.
