Just how good can LSU’s Devin White become? So good that Ed Orgeron is comparing him to a legend of both college football and the NFL.

The Tigers’ head coach said White is the most productive sophomore he has had since Warren Sapp during the weekly SEC coaches’ teleconference Wednesday.

For a player like White, who has become a tackling machine during his sophomore season at linebacker in Baton Rouge, that’s high praise.

Former defensive tackle Sapp won the Lombardi Award and the Nagurski Trophy during his All-American career at Miami, then played in seven Pro Bowls during a 13-year NFL career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders.
