Dylan Crews picked up the first of what figures to be several accolades in his LSU career Tuesday when the SEC named him the conference’s player of the week.
Crews has been batting leadoff for LSU and has already been a force through three games. Against Air Force and Louisiana Tech he hit 7-12, with a pair of home runs, drove in three RBIs and scored a pair of runs. Crews also drew four walks.
Crews’s first home run was a blast to the Left Field Landing in Sunday’s loss to Air Force. LSU Baseball Data clocked the exit velocity at 111 miles an hour.
