The LA Rams continue to work towards filling their coaching staff positions. One of the more critical roles is that of special teams coordinator. That position was last filled by John Fassel, who was poached away to join the staff of the Dallas Cowboys and their new head coach Mike McCarthy.
While the team has not yet moved to fill the position, they may have not had the right candidate, until now. On January 20, 2020, the Houston Texans announced parting ways with former defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel and promoting defensive line coach Anthony Weaver to their defensive coordinator role.
