When the news broke that LeBron James would be moving to the West Coast to play with the Los Angeles Lakers, fans in Los Angeles were clamoring for championships and other accolades.
When James went down on Christmas Day with a groin injury, those dreams were as good as gone. The team would go on to win that matchup against the Golden State Warriors, but would ultimately lose the season and miss the playoffs for the sixth consecutive year.
More than just the losing, last season did not appear to be any fun for the fans or the players.
