Los Angeles Lakers player development coach Theo Robertson has accepted an offer to return to U.C. Berkeley as an assistant coach under Wyking Jones, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.
It would appear Robertson will finish out the season with the Lakers before heading back to Cal, where he ended his five-year college playing career and later worked as a graduate manager and director of operations for the men’s basketball program before working with Lakers Head Coach Luke Walton on the Golden State Warriors coaching staff.
Robertson could often be seen working out with the Lakers’ various players before games, serving as token post defense for Thomas Robinson and Tarik Black, among others, as players warmed up for games.
