Anthony Davis was poked in the eye during the first half as the Lakers scrimmaged against the Orlando Magic, and the team announced that he will not return to the game. Davis finished the morning with a near double-double of 9 points and 10 rebounds in just 9 minutes.
Lakers head coach Frank Vogel had said before the game that he was planning to play a mostly normal rotation against the Magic, with Davis and LeBron James playing in the fourth quarter after sitting out the entire second half of the Lakers’ first scrimmage against the Dallas Mavericks.
