Tony Gonsolin Remaining With Dodgers, Likely To Make 3rd Start

The Los Angeles Dodgers starting rotation has already been impacted by multiple injuries this season, although the replacements haven’t skipped a beat filling in.

The latest example of that is Tony Gonsolin as he was called up to start Wednesday night’s game against the San Diego Padres. He tossed 4.2 shutout innings, striking out a career-high eight batters.

Because Gonsolin was late reporting to Summer Camp, he did not make the Opening Day roster and instead spent time at the team’s alternate training site to continue building up. He has twice been called up for spot starts and thrown a combined 8.
