The Los Angeles Dodgers naturally were among the teams most vocal in the wake of MLB finding the Houston Astros electronically stole signs during their 2017 World Series season, and Tuesday marked the first time the teams faced off since that point.
The Dodgers spent the days leading up to the series opener largely downplaying the significance of the matchup and shifting the focus to this season rather than avenging their loss in the World Series.
“Coming into the ballpark, it brought up some memories. I think everybody is going to feel differently,” manager Dave Roberts said before first pitch.
