Noah Syndergaard has always been one of the most tantalizing pitchers in baseball. With a lightning-quick fastball and a thunderous curveball — along with a handful of other pitches — Thor has always seemingly been this close to putting things together and becoming one of the best pitchers in baseball.
Tommy John surgery sapped some of the life on that fastball, at least (he hopes) temporarily, which caused him to make other adjustments to his repertoire. Now, after signing a one-year deal with the Dodgers School of Pitchcraft and Wizardry, Syndergaard is looking to make a reset, as he said in his introductory Zoom call with the media last week.
