During the 2019 NFL season, the Oakland Raiders had serious issues at the wide receiver position, which stemmed from Antonio Brown being released days before the opener. The loss of Brown forced the Raiders to move Tyrell Williams in to the WR1 spot, and while he had his moments, he is more suited to be the No. 2 guy in the long run.
The position as a whole struggled, but quarterback Derek Carr did find some bright spots, including rookie Hunter Renfrow, who became automatic on third down in the slot.
