This afternoon, the NBA’s Board of Governors officially voted to approve the league’s 22-team format to restart the 2019-2020 season in Orlando, with July 31 being the return-to-play date.
With this finalized plan, 16 teams already in playoff position will be invited to Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports, along with six other teams in outside contention being brought in to fight for the eighth seed.
Who are the 22 teams invited to close out the season? Nine teams will represent the East, while 13 will represent the West.
