For the third straight week, a Kentucky Wildcats freshman has been named the SEC Freshman of the Week.
This time, it was Tyler Herro, who earned this week’s honor after recorded in a career-high 24 points against Louisville and winning Bluegrass Sports Commission MVP honors.
Herro was also named NCAA.com writer Andy Katz’s Player of the Week:
Against the Cardinals, Herro shot 10/13 from the field while also connecting on a career-high four 3-pointers.
Over the last six games, Herro is averaging 16.7 points per game while shooting 50.
