Two new NCAA rules that could lead to a power struggle in college basketball

Recruiting in college basketball is going to feel a lot like free agency in the near future.

The NCAA is in the process of trying to add two new rules that will change the landscape of college athletics forever. The first is the institution of a one-time, immediate transfer rule that would authorize any student-athlete the ability to transfer to any school of their choice without having to sit out one season beforehand. The second is allowing student-athletes the opportunity to make money off of their name, image, and likeness.

As of now, neither rule has officially been instated and it could still be months before they do.
