Just a week or so ago we were looking at the SEC championship race and worrying about Kentucky’s inability to win some close games while both Auburn and LSU have been masters in tight situations. All the while being all in and frankly convinced that Nick Richards was the clear clubhouse leader for SEC player of the year honors.
Things can change quickly.
UK has now won three games in a row by two possessions or less while taking a pretty commanding two game lead in the SEC with just four games remaining. Nick Richards has continued to play well, but it’s another UK player who may be the team’s most important piece.
