Lynn Bowden Jr. has carried the Kentucky Wildcats as far as anyone could ask as an emergency quarterback — farther than anyone had a right to expect — but his limitations had a lot to do with Saturday’s 17-13 loss to Tennessee.
Bowden ran for 114 yards against the Volunteers, not counting the tacklers he eluded while buying time to throw, but he completed just four passes against a team that had yielded 213.
