Kentucky football adds another four-star 2020 commitment from Michigan

LEXINGTON - The state of Michigan has been kind to Kentucky football in the 2020 recruiting cycle.

That momentum continued Monday with a commitment from four-star Detroit native Deondre Buford. 247Sports ranks Buford as the No. 24 offensive tackle in the 2020 class and No. 7 prospect in Michigan. He picked Kentucky over reported offers from Auburn, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, LSU, Louisville, Miami, Missouri, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Tennessee, West Virginia and others.

Buford is Kentucky's third Michigan commitment in the 2020 class, joining five-star defensive lineman Justin Rogers and three-star wide receiver Earnest Sanders. UK defensive backs coach Steve Clinkscale established the program's Michigan pipeline in the 2018 class with commitments from current Wildcats DeAndre Square and Marquan McCall while offering many of the 2020 recruits in the state as underclassmen.
