Believe it or not, John Calipari says he spent an entire morning practice with his team recently working on zone defense.
Calipari said the team worked on both playing zone defense and how to attack zone defense.
“We spent a morning on zone. Just saying,” Calipari told Tom Leach during his call-in show earlier tonight. “One of the reasons you’ve got to have a good zone is so you can play against it, to make sure against a good team that plays zone that you can score. So we messed around with zone.”
