Former No. 2 overall recruit Justin Fields will transfer from Georgia

Kentucky pulled off the biggest transfer on the market in basketball, could they do the same in football?

This evening, USA Today released a report that Georgia quarterback Justin Fields has told the team he intends to transfer from the program after just one season.

Fields, a 6-foot-3 dual-threat quarterback out of Kennesaw, GA, was considered the No. 2 overall prospect in the nation in the class of 2018. He was also considered the No. 1 dual-threat recruit and No. 2 overall quarterback in the class, behind only Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence.

In his lone season at Georgia, Fields completed 27 of 39 passes for 328 yards and four touchdowns, to go with 42 rushing attempts for 266 yards on the ground.
