Former Kentucky linebacker Avery Williamson will miss the upcoming NFL season due to a torn ACL.

The injury was confirmed with an MRI earlier today:

#Jets starting ILB Avery Williamson suffered a torn ACL, source said. He had his MRI today and is out for the season. Terrible preseason injury.

The injury occurred when Williamson collided with a teammate.
