James Young has found a home for NBA training camp.
The former University of Kentucky basketball star will need a strong showing to secure a roster spot for the 2017-18 season, though.
The 6-foot-6 Young, who played one season under John Calipari at Kentucky in 2013-14, signed a training camp contract with the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.
According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, he will be competing for what will probably amount to one open roster spot on a young and improving Bucks team that made the playoffs last season. He could also be considered for the Wisconsin Herd, the Bucks’ G League affiliate.
