Drug charges against former Kentucky running back Benny Snell Jr. have been dropped, ESPN reported.
The current Pittsburgh Steelers running back was stopped in Ohio on Aug. 30 for speeding. According to ESPN, who cited the arrest report, a deputy approached the driver's side of Snell's vehicle and smelled marijuana. Snell said he had smoked earlier but there was nothing in the car. A search revealed 2.74 ounces.
Snell was cited for speeding and the drug charge, ESPN reported. But the drug charge was dropped because of the amount.
