COVID-19 hits Auburn Football; 5 starters sidelined

With only two weeks until the Kentucky Wildcats take on the Auburn Tigers in the SEC season opener, Auburn is reporting two new coronavirus cases, forcing 10 more of their players to sit out of practice.

Five of those 10 are starters, according to AL.com.

The two new cases came after Auburn had two clean rounds of testing last week. The two positive cases will have to isolate for 10 days before going through a seven-day acclimation period, while the eight other players will have to go through a mandatory 14-day quarantine after being identified through the team’s contact-tracing program.
