LEXINGTON, Ky. — Welcome to football season.
While we still have several weeks of waiting until actual games are played, the Southeastern Conference’s annual media days extravaganza kicked off Monday in Hoover, Alabama, signaling the unofficial start of the season. At the end of the week the league will release the preseason All-SEC teams and predicted order of finish based on media voting.
Here is an early look at my ballot with a breakdown of where Kentucky stands in the league.
PREDICTED ORDER OF FINISH
West
Alabama
LSU
Texas A&M
Auburn
Mississippi State
Ole Miss
Arkansas
East
Georgia
Florida
Missouri
Kentucky
Tennessee
South Carolina
Vanderbilt
When the media’s predicted order of finish is released Friday, expect Big Blue Nation to be up in arms again because Kentucky is picked toward the bottom of the SEC East behind teams Mark Stoops’ program has seemingly passed in recent years.
