The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have signed right-handed pitcher Wade Davis to a minor league contract.
A three-time All-Star (2015–17), Davis, 35, has pitched the last three years with the Colorado Rockies, making five appearances during the 2020 campaign. He led the National League in saves (43) and games finished (63) in 2018, while he recorded 15 saves in 50 appearances in his last full season with the Rockies in 2019.
The right-hander pitched for the Chicago Cubs in 2017, going 4–2 with 32 saves and a 2.30 ERA (15 ER in 58.
