Report: Former Chiefs linebacker Reggie Ragland is signing with the Lions

Former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Reggie Ragland has found a new home, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. It is with the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs traded a 2019 fourth-round pick to the Buffalo Bills for Ragland, 26, back in the summer of 2017. He played three seasons with the club. Ragland started 15 games and nearly 50% of snaps for the Chiefs back in 2018 — when Bob Sutton was still Kansas City’s defensive coordinator.

Steve Spagnuolo taking over in 2019 meant a new scheme and less use for Ragland, who started only seven games last season for 21% of the team’s snaps.
