On Thursday, “Good Morning Football” host Peter Schrager — a friend of the site and well-known advocate for the Kansas City Chiefs in the national media — published his first mock draft of the offseason on NFL.com.
If you’ve been watching these national mock drafts, a couple of things stick out. One is that offensive tackle Rashawn Slater comes off the board with the sixth pick, while Penei Sewell is gone with the eighth. Few mocks have Slater going before Sewell — but Schrager says that “a few teams” have told him that this is how it will play out.
