The Kansas City Chiefs have an improved, yet shaky, offensive line. General manager John Dorsey was active with the guards this offseason, trading a fifth-round pick to the New Orleans Saints for Ben Grubbs while signing Paul Fanaika to a three-year deal. Could Dorsey have one more move in him?
On Thursday, the Philadelphia Eagles released left guard Evan Mathis, per NFL insider Ian Rapoport. Mathis, 34, has been one of the best guards in football over the past two years, making the Pro Bowl twice and being named an All-Pro in 2013. Last year, Mathis was rated as the second-best guard in the NFL with only Marshal Yanda of the Baltimore Ravens checking in higher.
