Eric Bieniemy reportedly withdraws from Colorado coaching search

The University of Colorado continues to mull over the options to replace departed football head coach Mel Tucker on Wednesday, but one report has the school doing so without Eric Bieniemy as part of the considered candidates.

Troy Renck is a Denver-based reporter for the local ABC affiliate who used to cover the Broncos as a beat writer. On Wednesday, he reported that Bieniemy was “not moving forward” in the search. The full post can be found below.

Bieniemy, currently the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs, is an alumnus of Colorado and set the school’s all time rushing record nearly 30 years ago—a record that still stands today.
