On Tuesday, an incredible 324 children received free dental services—from cleanings to more intensive work that is otherwise unaffordable—thanks to the work of volunteers from Team Smile and the help of Dustin Colquitt to bring awareness and support to such a tremendous problem. This is why the National Football League Players Association named Colquitt as their Community MVP for Week 7.
Colquitt has worked with Team Smile for several years and this was his 13th annual event to help underprivileged children have important dental work done for them. Estimates put the total amount of free dental work at over $200,000—an incredible sum that shows just how expensive such procedures can be for those without the proper resources.
