For the fourth consecutive year, Iowa football has a player earn AP all-American honors. This time, however, we have two players awarded such a designation.

Jewell and Jackson are both first-teamers; while just Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas and Ohio State are the only other schools to have multiple first-team all-Americans. The Big Ten led all conferences with seven first-team all-Americans.

This is the fourth consecutive year where Iowa has a player who’s earned all-American recognition. Desmond King was a first and second-teamer in 2015 & ‘16, respectively, while Austin Blythe was a third-teamer in 2015 and Brandon Scherff was a first-teamer in 2014.
