Nigel De Jong will not be joining D.C. United, according to MLSsoccer.com .
Reports out of Turkey last week said that the former LA Galaxy midfielder would be leaving Galatasaray to join the MLS side on a free transfer this winter, with the Washington Post having claimed the club was in talks with the midfielder at the end of July.
