INDIANAPOLIS — Kenny Moore saw the desire in Rock Ya-Sin early.
The desire to be great right away, to come in and make a splash, the way Ya-Sin did in offseason workouts and training camp, vaulting up the depth chart and into the starting lineup.
But Moore knows all too well how hard it is to keep that kind of momentum rolling as an NFL defensive back, a position put at an enormous disadvantage by decades of rules changes favoring the passing game. Part of playing cornerback in the NFL is learning to deal with mistakes.
“If you expect to be perfect,” Moore told Ya-Sin, “don’t even come on the field.
