Insider: Colts CB T.J Carrie arrives in Indy looking for chance to compete

Free agency was a much different experience this time around. The last time new Colts cornerback T.J. Carrie hit the open market, he was a hot commodity. After four stellar years in Oakland, it took the Browns offering him, in the first days of 2018 free agency, a $31 million contract — $15 million guaranteed — to secure his services.

Cut to Monday, two weeks into free agency, when the Colts signed him to a one-year contract worth the veteran minimum and just $300,000 guaranteed.

“Yeah, I think this free agency process was a lot different,” Carrie said.
