INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts season ended on Sunday night, the promise of a 5-2 start erased as Indianapolis lost seven of its last nine games to finish 7-9, only the third losing record the franchise has posted since 2001.
But despite the shock of Andrew Luck’s retirement and the disappointment of the season that followed, Indianapolis owner Jim Irsay said he remains confident in the franchise’s direction.
Irsay released his statement on the 2019 season on Tuesday, thanking fans and addressing a year that didn’t live up to expectations.
