ST. LOUIS – Fresh off winning its first Missouri Valley Conference Tournament match in program history, Indiana State has been picked to finish sixth in The Valley entering its second season under the direction of Lindsay Allman.
The Sycamores received 50 points in the preseason poll, three points shy of projected fifth place finisher Valparaiso. Indiana State, which returns four starters, swept the Crusaders last season.
ISU went 11-21 last year but posted an 8-10 mark in conference play to finish tied for fifth with Valpo. This year, Allman's squad returns four starters and brings in a talented freshman class.
