TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Indiana State baseball took a 9-1 lead into the fourth inning, but No. 23 Dallas Baptist rallied to score 11 runs in the final five innings of the game en route to the series tying 12-10 win Saturday afternoon at Bob Warn Field.
The Sycamore 19-15, 4-7 MVC) offense looked unstoppable for much of the game, scoring three runs in three different innings but the Patriot offense caught fire midway through the game and it didn't slow down. A five-run eighth inning for the Patriots was too much to overcome as the Trees put the go-ahead run at the plate in the ninth but a groundout ended the threat.
