Redbirds Fall in Terre Haute

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State used a 17-0 first-half run to take a lead it would not give, as the Illinois State Redbirds Fell in Terre Haute by an 84-54 final score.

How It Happened

The Redbirds jumped out quickly, scoring the first two baskets, and holding Indiana State scoreless for the first 4:23 of the game; however, the Sycamores responded in a big way, scoring 17 straight points, and taking a 17-4 lead eight and a half minutes into the contest. Illinois State was able to close the deficit to 11 following a Daouda N'Diaye dunk; however, the Redbirds could not get within single digits, and went into the locker room trailing 42-27.
