CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois State men's and women's cross country teams closed out the regular season on a high note Friday at the Illini Open, hosted by Illinois. Led by Hattie Plumb and Ethan Kirk, the 'Birds notched four personal-best and five season-best performances.
Competing in only her second competition of the season, Plumb paced the ISU women, completing the 5K circuit in a personal-record 19:17.70 to place 22nd among 67 student-athletes.
