NORMAL — Two days after Illinois State's football season ended, Redbird coach Brock Spack has relieved three assistants — including co-offensive coordinators Billy Dicken and Dan Clark — of their duties.

ISU finished its season at 6-5 with a 20-7 loss to North Dakota State last Saturday. The Redbirds are not part of the FCS playoffs for the first time since 2013.

“The production on the offensive side of the ball the past two seasons has not met our expectations here at Illinois State,” Spack said in a statement through ISU's media relations department.

“We thank Billy, Dan and Kane for their dedication to the program in their times here and for their commitment to our student-athletes.
