EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Hannah Green delivered a career-high 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Illinois State women's basketball team to a 67-43 Missouri Valley Conference win over Evansville on Friday at Meeks Family Fieldhouse.
Green was 9-of-18 from the floor for the Redbirds, who improved to 8-9 overall and 2-4 in the Valley.
Evansville was limited to four points in the second quarter and 27.3 percent shooting in the game in falling to 3-14, 0-6.
The teams swapped the lead five times in the opening period before Green buried a three at the buzzer to give ISU a 14-12 first quarter lead.
