Elijah Childs of the Bradley men's basketball got his senior season off to a strong start and was rewarded with Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week honors on Monday.
Childs led the Braves to a 2-1 start to the 2020-21 season, earning All-Tournament Team accolades at the Xavier Invitational. During the three games in Cincinnati, Childs led Bradley with 15.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 2.0 steals per game in addition to 2.3 assists per contest.
The senior forward scored a season-best 17 points against the host Musketeers on Thursday, while adding his first double-double of the season in Friday's win against Oakland with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
