Angel Krell netted the game-winning goal five minutes into the second half to give the Illinois State soccer team a 1-0 victory over Miami (Ohio) on Sunday afternoon at Adelaide Street Field.

Krell's score came on an assist from freshman Natalie Vaughn-Low who had broken away from two Miami defenders before connecting with Krell for the game winner.

"What a great individual effort from Natalie and what a finish by Angel," said ISU coach Brad Silvey, who saw his Redbirds improve to 3-4-2. "It was awesome to see those two combine to notch one in. We've been in a little bit of a drought so it was good to get a goal.
