MOSCOW, Idaho — Idaho used a balanced scoring effort and a decisive second-half push to outlast previously unbeaten Southern Utah 76–72 on Saturday afternoon at ICCU Arena, improving to 3–1 on the season.
Hope Hassmann led the Vandals with 21 points, knocking down a pair of 3-pointers and going a perfect 9-for-9 at the free-throw line. Debora Reis Dos Santos added 13 points, six rebounds and two steals off the bench, while Lorena Barbosa and Kyra Gardner each chipped in key buckets to steady Idaho after a slow start.
The Vandals trailed 18–12 late in the first quarter but flipped the momentum with a 24-17 second period.
