The Houston Texans should be walking into week two with a sigh of relief with the Jacksonville Jaguars ruling out their pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue due to a hamstring injury. Since being selected in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Jaguars, Ngakoue has played six games against the Texans and been a productive player for Jacksonville.
Ngakoue has 13 total tackles, 11 quarterback hits, 3.5 sacks, two tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery in his six career games against the Texans. Losing Ngakoue is a big blow for the Jaguars front seven and a breather for the Texans after they surrendered six sacks in the season opener to the New Orleans Saints.
