Inside the Texans' weight room Monday morning, rookie safety Justin Reid expressed his gratitude to defensive end Christian Covington.

The former Rice standout delivered a key block to help Reid sprint 101 yards untouched into the end zone Sunday for the second-longest interception return in franchise history. Covington also pressured Washington quarterback Alex Smith leading up to the game-changing turnover.

"Just doing my job, man," Covington said. "We're told since my rookie year any turnover to look around and find a guy to block. That was a huge turning point for us, clearly helped us to get the win.
