Texans CB Kevin Johnson doing "great" after concussion

Texans starting cornerback Kevin Johnson is doing "great" and in good spirits Sunday, according to a source not authorized to speak publicly, after suffering a concussion Saturday night during a preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Johnson went to a Houston hospital for further examination after landing on his head and being diagnosed with a concussion.

The former first-round draft pick from Wake Forest is now under the mandatory NFL concussion protocol.

Johnson was down for several minutes being attended to by trainers before rising to his feet.

"I think he's doing OK considering what happened.
