After two up and down (but mostly down) years in Houston, Jeff Allen has been released from the Texans, per Aaron Wilson.

Texans cut Jeff Allen from the physically unable to perform list with an injury settlement. Allen had concussions and other injuries during his tenure with the team

Before today's injury settlement removing him from Texans' PUP list, Jeff Allen had two remaining years on his contract and was due base salaries of $5.75 million and $6 million.

Allen came to the Texans in 2016 as a free agent along with Brock Osweiler and Lamar Miller.
