James Harden, Rockets blow by Timberwolves in Game 4

MINNEAPOLIS – The best scorer in the NBA took it over and shut it down.

That's all that Game 4 came down to.

There was a moment during the first quarter Monday night when James Harden had only connected on 11 of his last 46 shots. Target Center was a proud, roaring sea of green. A nasty "Harden sucks" chant soon followed.

Then the league's expected MVP put the Rockets up 3-1 in a Western Conference first-round series and set up a Game 5 closeout Wednesday at Toyota Center.

Then Harden's Rockets unleashed a brilliant 50-point quarter that reminded all those stunned inside Target Center why a team that won a franchise-record 65 regular-season games really could end up in the NBA Finals.
