Tuesday Cheese Curds: Packers have playoff history with Rams

You’d hardly think of the Packers and Rams as having a rich history, especially over most of the Favre/Rodgers era in Green Bay. But there are, in fact, deep historical connections between the two franchises, dating back to the very roots of the Rams’ first stint on the west coast and beyond.

Both teams have dominated this matchup at times. Prior to Vince Lombardi’s arrival in Green Bay, the Rams had taken 16 of their 18 tilts with the Packers, but the pendulum swung dramatically (and predictably) once the Lombardi took the helm.

In recent years, the Packers have again been the dominant party.
